MidHPC Announcement

MidHPC (Middleware for High Performance Computing) is a software project which proposes an automatic and transparent support to execute ANY LEGACY application on Grids. It considers the knowledge extracted from applications (communication, cpu, hard disk and memory usage patterns) to classify and determine where tasks will be executed. ANY MULTITHREADED application can be launched on the Grid. The main techniques applied in this work are: Artificial Neural Networks, Genetic Algorithms, Colony Optimization Techniques, Simulated Annealing, Time Series and Distributed Systems.
